Made famous by Henry and Maureen Wright in the 1980s and 1990s, Wrights Fortified Chardonnay is back, using grapes from the original Chardonnay cuttings, reimagined with the same pioneering spirit and crafted from 100% Chardonnay. This limited release, fortified chardonnay is barrel aged.  

Crystalline and bright in the glass, the nose is immediately complex and enticing: white blossom and stone fruits layered with exotic fruit notes and subtle spice. The palate is compelling and individual, with Margaret River Chardonnay hallmarks of white nectarine and fig, but lifted to another level by the interplay of spirit and residual sugar. This creates a rich, textural complexity with a silken mouthfeel, balanced by vibrant varietal acidity that carries through to a long, elegant finish. 

Enjoy now, chilled or poured over ice as an aperitivo, or allow it to evolve in bottle for 10 years or more to reveal deeper layers of richness and intrigue.
